Delta Poker Run | Missouri National Guard

The 2nd Annual Delta Poker Run & Cookout has been developed to provide a great deal of fun for everyone who attends! The route has been selected to provide sites and scenes along the Greater Kansas City area and Jackson County. All donations will help send care packages for deployed Soldiers and also support the Soldiers and their families of Delta Battery 1/129th FA.

About Delta Battery

D Battery, 1st Battalion, 129th Field was commanded by Capt. Harry S. Truman during World War I. In 1918, Harry S. Truman, in command of Battery
D 129th Field Artillery, Missouri ARNG, is reported to have said, while engaging German troops in Brittany, "Right now, I'm where I want to be-in command of this battery. I'd rather be here than president of the United States".
